With its growing popularity, many people wonder, “When is the best time to visit Thailand?” Here at Taste Nirvana we personally think anytime is the best time to visit. Whether you spend your time wading in the clear blue waters, or you take a trip to the dense groves where we harvest fruit for our real coconut water, Thailand truly is a must-see destination year-round. With that said, there are a few specific times to visit if you’re looking for nice weather, smaller crowds, or cheaper fairs. Take your pick and book a trip!
When you think of Thailand you probably picture clear skies and warm sands, but Thailand actually experiences pretty heavy periods of rain and humidity. To avoid getting drenched on the beach, book your trip between the end of November and the beginning of May. If you’re tired of turkey, spend your Thanksgiving exploring the streets of Thailand, or if you want a unique Valentine’s Day getaway, book a romantic bungalow in the lush greenery of the jungles. If you’re not a fan of humidity, plan your stay between December and February, when the weather is cool enough to keep the fog away, but warm enough for a perfect stay. Conversely, if you want to dance in the rain on the beach, visit between July and October for a magical moment in the tropics.
It isn’t so much a question as to when Thailand isn’t busy, but rather when it is least busy. While you can’t avoid all tourists, you can avoid large crowds during the aforementioned rainy seasons of August through October. Again, November, December, June, and July will all prove to be fairly busy due to the holiday season and summer break. However, don’t let the crowds deter you, because there is plenty of the beach, forest, and city to go around.
Though the flight out here may be a bit pricey, the vacation itself won’t break the bank. Everything from treats to transportation is relatively inexpensive in relation to other destinations. However, if you are determined to save on the plane ride, book your trip between March and October, when you aren’t battling tourists on holiday. With that said, watch out for tickets between June and July because prices can skyrocket due to an increase in demand over the summer break. Utilize airfare prediction apps, to find the least expensive flights, which are usually around September and April.
