The white temple, or Wat Rong Khun, is an exquisite piece of architecture that is deeply symbolic in Thai and Buddhist culture. By the end of the 20th century, the temple was in a poor state. Chalermchai Kositpipat, a local artist, decided to completely rebuild it. Though the grounds are not expected to be fully complete until about 2070, the Temple is open for visitors.
