Father’s Day and Mother’s Day may have already passed, but at this company, we tend to celebrate family for more than just one day.
Taste Nirvana was founded by a father and son duo and is still run by three generations of the same Thai family today. Last month, we spoke with mom blogger Kristen Hale for the launch our Taste Nirvana Q&A series, which aims to get to know the real families that drink our beloved coconut water. This month, we reached out to one of our favorite influencers and dad bloggers, Charles Koh.
Charles is a content creator from Seattle, Washington. He founded EatSeattle, both a food publication and a media group. You may also already know him from his popular Instagram profile and blog, Gen Y Dad, where he documents his daily adventures with his cute daughter.

Three words to describe life as a dad: Adventurous, Unpredictable, Active.
Favorite activity as a family: Hiking – We live in Seattle so we’re blessed with awesome hikes within an hour’s drive. We like to pack a ton of snacks, fill up water bottles and venture off to Rattlesnake Ledge, Snowlake Trailhead or a hike with waterfalls. We’ve recently purchased one of those hiking packs so we can stick our daughter back there! Makes hiking so much more enjoyable!
As a busy dad, why is having a go-to nutritional drink like Taste Nirvana beneficial? Being a dad requires a ton of energy, focus, and hydration, which is why I’ve been a huge fan of Taste Nirvana to get those benefits on the daily. Over the years, we’ve made a commitment as a family to eat healthier and implement good habits. This means taking the stairs, no junk food (only sometimes) and sticking with water, coconut water included.
What stands out about Taste Nirvana? Why is different than other drinks you’ve tried? At Taste Nirvana, we’re all about finding Happiness Inside. What brings you the most happiness? I travel a lot for work so being with my family is the best happiness one can ask for. Mackenzie in one arm, a remote in the other. haha.
Any advice to other dads on how to stay healthy/active on busy days: The best advice I can give to a dad is to love your kids unconditionally. And of course, stay healthy because raising a child takes so much energy!
